Project: "Black and Brown in Red"  Mural

Purpose:  Hispanic Heritage Month Travel Mural

 

Brief:  I was commissioned by Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center , a nonprofit org in Cleveland, Ohio along with 3 other local artists, to create a panel with my reflections of everything that is happening with the black and latino communities during the covid pandemic. This was also a mural to speak to the local latino community particularly during hispanic heritage month. I enjoyed this project because it is very rare that I get to work with the local artists for something inspirationally powerful for the community. The other artists that I had the privilege of working with: Kevin Colon, Dayzwhunn and Gilberto Rivera.
