Purpose: Restaurant Mural Artwork

 

Brief:  I was commissioned to decorate the walls of Mi Pueblito Colombiano (My Little Colombian Village). A Colombian cuisine restaurant in Garland, Texas. A really lovely commission. The owners of this restaurant are Augusto (originally from Medellin, Colombia) and Sonia (from Bogotá, Colombia). It was a great collaboration in the design process. Sonia grew up in a farmland and her fathers fresh and original dishes inspired her in this creation. She wanted each image to represent both the culture as well as the colors of the Colombian flag.
